Golf Manitoba’s Volunteer Recognition Program
Golf Manitoba is fortunate to have a committed group of volunteers who give so freely of their time to assist with the programs we deliver. Volunteers are integral to the quality and depth of programming that Golf Manitoba is able to offer. In 2007, Golf Manitoba began formally recognizing our volunteers annually in the following manner:The Golf Manitoba Volunteer Recognition Program will be as follows:Volunteers will be recognized for their years of service at the Golf Manitoba Annual Awards Dinner Pins will be given for 5, 10, 15 and 20 years of service Those volunteers achieving 25+ years of service will receive a special award The Golf Manitoba Distinguished Service Award will be based on the following:
The recipient should have:
long time service to Golf Manitoba (including MGA & MLGA)gone above and beyond the expectations of a volunteer
proven to be an advocate for the game and the Association
demonstrated commitment to amateur golf
been a positive role model for other volunteers
